Official Rules for The Mommies United Contests

To provide fair and equal chance of winning to all Mommies United readers, the following are the official rules for all contests on The Mommies United.

All entrants must be 18 years, or older, unless otherwise specified.

Only one entry per person, unless multiple entries are specifically allowed in the contest posting. Unless otherwise specified in an individual contest post, no person may enter any contest more than once using multiple email addresses. If the Mommies United determine that a person has entered any given contest more than once, that person will not be allowed to enter future giveaways and contests at www.TheMommiesUnited.com.

Winners of contests will be chosen at random from entries received on the www.TheMommiesUnited.com website by following the individual contest directions.

Entrants must enter using the correct email address, and any other specific entry information requested in the contest announcement. The Mommies United are not responsible for and will not consider incomplete or incorrect entries. All invalid contest entries, including comments, will be deleted.

Winners of all contests will be contacted at the email address used to enter the contest, and the person receiving and replying to the winner announcement email will be considered the winner unless they specify another person within the reply email as the winner. The Mommies United or contest sponsor will mail the contest prize to the address supplied by the recipient of the winner announcement email. Winners must not contact sponsor directly, or the prize will be forfeited.

About the Contest

Readers can enter to win by submitting their best ideas for getting kids to eat. The top ten entries will receive a signed copy of The Toddler Café and one or our new Boon feeding items. One grand prize winner will receive a complete set of Boon feeding items, plus an Animal Bag stuffed animal storage, and an assortment of parenting books form Chronicle Books including the signed copy of The Toddler Café.

Entries are due by April 30 and winners will be announced on Mother’s Day.

Product Reviews / Mega Reviews

We've been asked how to submit products for contests and/or review by our Mommies. Here are the answers!

If you are a PR rep for products that you think our readers should know about, someone who makes products that are simply awesome, or an indie designer looking to get the word out about your amazing product, we would love to hear from you!

We are more than happy to post product reviews and/or reader giveaways. Our readers have come to appreciate our recommendations and are thrilled when we tell them about a wonderful product!

So, tell us about it!

How?

Send us an email at mommiesunited@yahoo.com describing the product you would like to submit for a giveaway or review, include a link to your website, and please specify to which age group the item best appeals.

When contacted about product reviews, we will inform you of our interest, and forward you our individual addresses. While we do not charge for product reviews, we do require a sample for all reviews. The sample will not be returned, and you will be responsible for any shipping costs involved. After receiving your product samples, we will each consider it for review on our individual sites, and then post a collective what we call a Mega Review on Mommies United.


As we are currently experiencing a 2 month review backlog, we will then send you 2 emails:

1. A confirmation we received your product
2. An email linking to our product reviews, or alerting you of our decision not to post

Of note, decisions to post are based on the quality of your product, thus some products may not be reviewed because they simply do not resonate with our bloggers or work for our families. Moreover, we are incredibly candid in the reviews we post, and while we aim not to openly disparage any products, we do often sometimes critique products just as we praise others. We aim for balanced and thoughtful reviews.

What is a Mega Review?

Many people has asked us what is a mega review. Well, the Mega Review is where each of us four mommies are given the opportunity to post about a product on our own personal blogs. We then post together, here on Mommies United, with a group review, including a link to our individual personal reviews. So It is 5-in-1 Review! Not only do you get your name out to one website but it will be featured on FIVE!

We are the first group of women offering a Mega Review! We are very excited to join forces together, and tell our friends about the neat products we find!

If your interested in sponsoring a Mega Review then send us an email at mommiesunited@yahoo.com describing the product you would like to submit for a giveaway or review, include a link to your website, and please specify to which age group the item best appeals.

While we do not charge for product reviews we do require a sample for all reviews. The sample will not be returned, and you will be responsible for any shipping costs involved. We do provide our honest and candid opinion, however we do not guarantee that your product will be featured, nor do we guarantee a positive review.

Though we are open to most anything, we especially love companies, products, and services that appeal to family life and are non-toxic, safe, and fun.

Between the four of us Mommies we have children in the following age groups:

Kristin one little girl age 2.5
Shanda little girl age 3 and baby boy age 8 months
Christine twin boys age 7, girl age 5, boys ages 4, 2 and 7 months.
